Department of Internal Affairs

The CHP places great importance on maintaining the integrity of the department. The Internal Affairs division handles officer reports and internal incidents to ensure accountability and professionalism within the force.

Officers in IA oversee critical investigations and have access to confidential information, playing a vital role in upholding the CHP's reputation. 

Pursuit Intervention & Tacitcs

The Pursuit Intervention & Tactics focuses primarily on highspeed pursuits, which means that you will have some special regulations during pursuits. You will be trained within strict and hard driving courses, to prepare you for your duty within PIT.

The job of a Pursuit Intervention & Tactics Operative is to be able to stay close to a fleeing suspect without crashing or putting the public at risk.

Tryouts will be hosted randomly by a PIT Trainer Verified within the "hostings" channel. This means there is no application to enter this Sub Division.

California Special Weapons And Tactics

Special Weapons And Tactics handles high-risk operations, including armed confrontations, barricaded subjects, and hostage rescues. As part of this division, you'll undergo advanced training to prepare for critical incidents requiring specialized weapons & tactics. 

A CSWAT Operator must excel in tactical operations, use-of-force decision-making, and flawless teamwork. Clear communication and coordination are essential in high-stress situations to ensure successful outcomes while safeguarding civilians, officers, and suspects. 

Tryouts will be hosted randomly by a SWAT Training Instructor within the "hostings" channel. An application will be handed after passing this tryout.
